Q: Most stores have their own gift registries. What makes GimmeItNow special?
A: At GimmeItNow you can list gifts from as many different stores as you can think of. When you create a gift list at a specific online store you are stuck only being able to place their merchandise on your list.

Q: How do I purchase a gift on someones list? I don't see an add to cart or checkout option.
A: GimmeItNow does not sell any merchandise. We simply offer a convenient way for our members to tell everyone what they want and where it can be purchased.

Q: Will I be able to see what others have gotten for me?
A: No, not if you don't want to. When you create your list you can decide if you want to see what has been purchased and by whom it was purchased. If you choose to be able to view the status of your gifts a message will be displayed to everyone who visits letting them know that you can see the gift status. After your list is created you can change your mind and disable this feature so that you can no longer see the status.

However you choose to setup your list you will not be able to see who purchased which gift until after the occasion has passed.

Q: Will I know if someone else bought a gift on a friends list so I don't buy a second one?
A: Yes, Your friends list will show when a gift was purchased. The list doesn't show who bought the gift but it will show if the gift has been purchased.

Q: Can I edit my list after I create it?
A: Yes, you can edit the gifts on your list at any time before the list expires.

Q: How can I delete my lists?
A: Active lists can't be deleted. Only expired lists can be deleted.

Q: Can I set up a list for someone else?
A: Yes, there is an option to create the list for someone else.

Q: Do I need to register to see someones list?
A: Yes, registration is required to ensure that only the people you invite can see and interact with your list.

Q: How do I let my friends and family access my list?
A: Click on the invite button within your list to add the people that you want to have access your list.

Q: My friend has a list why can't I get to it?
A: You have to be a registered member and you have to be invited by your friend. If your friend has already invited you and you selected "Don't allow others to automatically add me to their lists." when you registered then you should check your email for an invitation code.

Q: I am getting married and I don't know all of my guests email addresses. Is there another way to invite people to my list?
A: Yes, When you create your list you can select to make the list public. When you create a public list you will be given an invitation code that you can include with your wedding invitations or you can distribute the invitation code however you prefer. The invitation code for a public list does not expire and can be used by unlimited guests. A public list can be created for any occasion.
